Dawson Media Night is the prime event for Dawson College’s Cinema-Communications department. Divided into four categories; animation, narrative, experimental and documentary, the ceremony features the work of students that, throughout the semester, have strived to create creative and professional material. After a selection process, the student body, faculty, and special guests gather in the Dawson Theatre to show the selected videos. After a night of screenings and live entertainment, to finish off the event, the judges convene and present various awards to the students behind the most outstanding work. This event will take place on May 8th at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased in advanced in Karen’s office or at the door (it is advised that you show up early to guarantee entrance).
