Taking place from November 8th to November 9th; CinVidCom’s 24 Hour Film Competition is back once again with a little twist. This semester, each group will be assigned a prop and genre specific to their team, along with a common log line given to all participants.
Signing up is easy: simply put the names of you and your teammates in an e-mail to email@example.com before Thursday, November 7th. If you don’t have any partners, you can put your name down and we will assign you a team on November 8th. Each participant must contribute a $5 entry fee that goes towards prizes for the winners.
We are gathering in 3B.1 at 6pm on November 8th, though we suggest arriving between 5:30 and 5:45. All required information will be provided. You have exactly 24 hours to complete a film with a length of 4 minutes or less. You may rent out equipment or bring your own.
The lab will be open from 8am to 6pm on November 9th for editing purposes if you don’t have the necessary software on your personal computers. Once you have your film, upload it on Vimeo (make sure we’re able to download it) and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org before 6pm on November 9th.
Linked below are the winners of the past two competitions. If you have any question, feel free to leave them in the comments section below. We hope to see you there!
